We'll begin this tutorial, by creating a new canvas with a size of 350 x 220 pixels. Make sure the foreground is black, then go ahead and choose the text tool. I used "Tribune" bold with a size of 111 pixels. Type "TEXT".

Now that you have your text, you can now right click on the text layer and select, "Blending Options...". Go ahead and click on "Drop Shadow" |

Now click on "Bevel and Emboss". This will give it a 3d look. |

Click, "Satin" and select the "Half Round" contour setting. |

You may now click "OK." |

Now we will create a Pattern by making a new canvas at a size of 100 x 100. Magnify the canvas by clicking on the "Magnify" tool and then click the canvas 2 times. This will make it easier to work with. Now select the "Line Tool". Make sure the weight of the line is set at 10px |

While holding in the shift key on your keyboard drag a line from one corner to the next as I have done in Fig 1. Rasterize the layer and repeat till you have what is shown in Fig 2. |

using the main menu click "Edit", "Define Pattern", give it a name, then click OK |
You may now close the pattern canvas. |

Now that you have created the pattern, you can now right click on the text layer again and select, "Blending Options...". Click on "Pattern" and choose the newly created pattern |

Now click on "Stroke". |

Your text should now look like the below. |

With the "Ctrl" key held in on the keyboard click on the text layer. This will put a selection around the text itself. Create a new layer. Choose white as the foreground and select the "Pencil Tool" at about 4 pixels. on the new layer you can highlight some areas of the text as I have done below. |

Now go to the main menu once again and click the "Filter" menu, then "Blur", lastly, "Gaussian Blur" with a radius of approzimately 1.5 pixels. Click OK. |

To make a reflection we will need to duplicate the text layer, then go the the main menu and select "Edit", "Transform" then "Flip Vertical". Move the text downward till the newly created text is just under the above text, and lower the Opacity to 30 as I have done below. |

Now create yet another layer and select the "Rectangular Marquee Tool" Make a rectangular selection around only the bottom text. Next, grab the "Gradient Tool" and make it a "Reflective Gradient" found in the "Options Pallete". Starting at the top of the selection (while holding the shift key) drag all the way to the bottom of the selection. Then hit "Ctrl D" on the keyboard to deselect. turn the "Fill" down to 86% then duplicate the layer and turn that "Fill" down to 55%. |
