To begin, select the "Rectangle Tool" and draw out a square as I have done below using 9d8267 as the shapes color.
First, select the "Direct Selection Tool" and then select both anchor points on the left side of the square as shown below. Now, while holding in the "Shift" key on your keyboard, hit the down arrow two times. Let go of the "Shift" key now and go down an additional three times as illustrated below. |
Next, duplicate the manipulated square and change it's color to a68a6f. Then, select the "Direct Selection Tool" again and select both anchor points on the right side of the square as shown below. Now, while holding in the "Shift" key on your keyboard, hit the left arrow 12 times. Let go of the "Shift" key now and go to the left an additional two times as illustrated below. Lastly, go up six times. |
Next, select the "Direct Selection Tool" one final time and select the bottom left anchor point of the square as shown below. Now, while holding in the "Shift" key on your keyboard, hit the right arrow once. |
Now using the "Pen Tool" and the color 96785c, draw the very top of the box as shown in the below image. |
Using the "Pen Tool" once again and the color 81674e, draw the left inside of the box as shown in the below image. You may find it easier to zoom in some for accuracy. |
Now draw the first flap with the "Pen Tool" as I have illustrated below using the color 8d735c. |
Now draw the right flap using the color 81674e. |
Now draw the back flap using the color b3936d. |
Lastly draw the left flap using the color 96785e. |
The Results!!! |
I've added some gradient overlays of black to transparent on both the left and right sides as well as some of the flaps for added depth. I have also added other details such as tape, packing peanuts and packaging type. I hope you enjoyed this tutorial. |
